Chocolate Chip Oatmeal Cookies
It is 26 degrees outside..."they" say it's only going to get colder this weekend. This is why I moved to Hawaii after college! And..who are "they"...anyway? I love to blame everything on "they." "They" is such an easy scapegoat. Whatever...anyway...it's freezing and all I want to do is eat and hibernate. We found a recipe for these yummy chocolate chip oatmeal cookies...here. The oatmeal makes it...at least sound kinda healthy. I just ate 4 in a row...don't judge...I'll probably eat them for dinner. They were really easy to make. I had all the ingredients...even the chocolate chips. Chocolate Chips are a staple in our home...like coffee, creamer & milk. Aren't they in everyone's? Have a Warm Weekend! or Bake Cookies!
At least your 26 is ABOVE zero! :) Lucky you! Eat some cookies for me! Or send me a care package, please! :)
ReplyDeleteA woman after my own heart. Ummm, it's like 75 degrees over here in Cali. I've got my flip flops on and I had to pull out my old clothes bins to find some short sleeved shirts for my youngest. But... I did have bake cookies on my list of things to do today. And wouldn't you know they are oatmeal chocolate chip!! I am going to try your recipe. Thanks. I hope you guys aren't too cold...
ReplyDeleteAre you kidding? That is exactly why I am working out.....trust me, I 'll be bringing some cookies in a few weekends. :)
ReplyDeleteOh YUM! I can smell those cookies! It's pretty cold in Texas today, too! At least it's supposed to warm up to the 60's tomorrow! Hey, I can eat cookies in cold or warm weather!
ReplyDeleteMmm! Those were a childhood favorite!
ReplyDeleteMrs. Dunbar,
ReplyDeleteRight now...I hate you with your 75 degrees and your flip flops!
A week ago, I was planning on making oatmeal, white chip, macadamia nut cookies (my son's favorite). I procrastinated and ended up snacking daily on the white chips. There are only 1/2 cup left! So now I've decided to use 1/2 cup white and 1/2 cup chocolate, and maybe throw in some walnuts also. Suppose I could use a little coconut too. Yum... potpourri oatmeal cookies. Maybe I'll get around to making those tonight. Or tomorrow. :)
ReplyDeleteI'm sort of a new reader here and am enjoying your blog.
They are definitely a health food. There's oatmeal in them, for heaven's sake. I think they're a breakfast food too.
ReplyDeleteThat's funny. I use "they" all the time. I am asked who "they" are.
ReplyDelete26 degrees is almost golf weather! It's below 0 in Ohio, so comfort food and cookies sound great!
ReplyDeleteI so enjoy your blog.
Cookies would be awesome right about now. These look soooo yummy!
ReplyDeleteMmmmmm! I have to restrain myself from baking or else I'd be running a bakery here.
ReplyDeleteOh yeah. Chocolate chips are a staple in our house too. I always have a jumbo bag from Costco, and sometimes a spare. I've been known to eat a handful straight from the bag. ;)
ReplyDeleteThere's an award for you on my blog!
ReplyDeleteThose cookies look YUMMY! Lucky you...it is -18 here (Southern Ontario Canada)!!
ReplyDeleteoh, i can't wait to try these. prefect with some hot milk on these cold days! thanks for sharing.
