Blog Makeover Give-Away

I can't believe it's been a year that I've been blogging. I started this blog March 7th one year ago...as an outlet to post pictures of all my creative, sewing and thrifting endeavors. I have truly gained so much more!
  • New friends
  • Encouragement from other homeschool moms
  • Lots of great ideas for decorating, sewing, crafting & cooking
  • Did I mention...encouragement from other homeschool moms?
I love being able to help and encourage people. I love sharing what I do at home. I get to vent my creative ideas here. And, I hope in this next year I can give back as much as I've been given.

One of my new found friends lives 5 minutes from me and is my blog designer. She is adorably sweet. We met via Mrs. Fussypants ...she made over her blog. We rode to the Blissdom conference together and chatted the whole way...when we weren't peeing in our pants...laughing with Dara. We both lived in California and are verified California Food snobs! Always on the search for that most perfect mexican cuisine. So, because, it's my blog-o-versary, Carrie has agreed to give one of you lucky reader's a Blog Makeover! Yippee! She has re-designed mine twice...because I'm persnickety and undecisive like that. Just ask my her.

I am heading back to my blog to add this information to a post and my sidebar.

  8. We blog because it's an amazing way to share---share ideas, share laughs, share thoughts, etc. We love seeing the creative folks out there and we are grateful that other bloggers aren't keeping their good ideas to themselves but are willing to spread them to others.

I blog because it's a great source of inspiration! And, because it's an encouragement to read the thoughts, ideas and feelings of other bloggers, and of course, to get their comments on my blog about the ideas and thoughts I post! It's a fun blogland community!

  18. I had a domain name and stuff hosted on an internet company computer for the past 10 years. Costing over 400 a year, so as I've been blogging with my yoga site, I thought that maybe I could convert the Singer Featherweight site over to blogger for much less money. Yep! I did.

Now I have blogs with regards to yoga, prenatal yoga, Love 2 Sew 4 Fun and of course the Singer Featherweight site. I'd love to get some nice looking stuff for either my yoga or prenatal yoga site!

  43. Back in September - I had run into this notice of a girl and her husband that were critically injured in a plane crash. I read her blog and fell in love with the whole blogging world. Since then - I have started my own and continued my blogsurfing ways. Blogging for me is journaling. I love it - it is so freeing. Amazing. Pure bliss. Thanks!!

  57. I have only been blogging since December, but have been reading blogs for about a year an a half.

I started reading blogs when I was in the midst of intense, chronic pain in my neck and arms due to disc herniations in my neck. I was unable to sleep much because of the pain and the side effects of the meds I was taking to deal with said pain.

To say that blogs saved my life is no exaggeration. In fact, that is the essence of my very first blog post. Although I had surgery to remove my painful discs, and stabilize my neck last May, I am still experiencing chronic pain.

So, to be honest, I blog because:

    I need a release.
    I feel very isolated.
    It inspires me.
I want to share with others.

Sorry to ramble on...I can get pretty wordy :)

To keep a journal for friends and family.

Right now I'm in a little dry spell...A new makeover would be great!

  61. I'll be honest. I started blogging a few months ago to promote my Etsy shop. Since then, I think I have blogged about other things WAY more than my shop. I even started doing 'Featured Artist' interviews to help promote other shops and let my readers see all the beautiful handmade things.
I have met some great people through the blogosphere and I am so glad that I took this step. I love reading other people's blogs, seeing pictures of thier lives and supporting my fellow etsians with comments and sometimes linking to them.

    ReplyDelete
  62. I blog to keep my family and friends in the loop and it's been so much fun to reconnect with old friends and be able to feel like I can still be a part of their lives- even if it's just by clicking a link! :)

    ReplyDelete
  63. It meets the need I have to be creative without the mess. That doesn't mean that my house is not a mess because I spend time blogging or reading blogs, but at least I am not making any new messes while doing either. :)

    ReplyDelete
  64. You are now a part of the permanent record of my life, Pink and Polka Dot. Welcome to the family!

    ReplyDelete
  65. I blog to express my opinions, share my life (the parts that I want to be public), and network. I love meeting and networking with other bloggers.

    ReplyDelete
  66. I blog because it's a great way to meet new people, share what I'm learning, connect with other women and challenge myself!
