Price My $pace Part Deux

Nester is having a Price Your $pace Party! So, I'm joining in on the fun! This is the other side of the living room. Truth be told...I have no other room...really ready to show. I'm trying to catch up on laundry while still unpacking and putting stuff away. But here goes...

1) Zebra Chair - $10 Thrift Store, Pillow - made by me, Lamp - on sale at LNT, Apothecary Jar on Mantle - Thrift Store $4, Eiffel Tower Statue on Mantle - .25 Yard Sale, 2nd Book Shelf - New at $100, Basket - Thrift Store $2, Fake flowers - Big Lots

2)Side Table - Estate Sale $40, Lamp - Thrift Store $6, Picture ledges and various frames - Walmart & Big Lots, Blue Barn Star - Big Lots $11

3)Mirror - Yard Sale $5, Pair of Lamps - Thrift Store $14, Entry bureau - Thrift Store $40, Starfish - Outer Banks of NC

4)My thrift store sofa...again with homemade slipcover, pillows - Target and Thrift store, coffee table - inherited antique from my Aunt Myrtle. There is a misc basket at the front door with shoes in it - Big Lots $12

Soon and very soon...I hope to rip the carpet off those stairs and paint them black along with the handrail. There's always a project on the horizon...

  3. Two thumbs up for your homemade slipcover! It's fabulous. :) Wish my sewing/measuring/cutting skills were up to par. ;) I also really like the zebra chair. I was thinking that animal print isn't really my thing, but you make it work in that room! I love your style. :) Visiting from The Nester's party. :)

  6. Your room looks so good!! You have a way of doing things....you didnt spend that much, I have some of the same things. But when I put them together they dont look like that. I a letter E and some small framed pictures on the wall. It is just WRONG. Then there is yours. I can't even tell what you did different. You just did it right!!

  18. I love the room! It is beautiful.

I enjoyed reading your post below about your girls in school. I always thought I would homeschool; however due to my daughter being an only child I put my 4 year old in pre-school this year. So far she is loving pre-school, being the line leader, doing art, etc. The biggest thing I have learned from this experience is that you have to do what works for YOU! :)

  19. Beautiful! Love your front door, and am wondering if all the doors in your house are stained with white trim? We are debating what to do in our new home that came filled with stained oak trim / doors.
