Be authentically YOU!

Yesterday, I received my first text from Daily Hug. It said... "You are amazing! Be authentically YOU." I thought..."Dang! I could get used to someone telling me I'm amazing every day." We don't here enough...how amazing we are! Tell someone today that they are amazing. Don't just tell some random person, although any random person could stand to hear it. Think about what exactly is amazing about that person and then TELL them.

Webster's defines authentic:

authentic - 1. not false or copied; genuine; real. 2. having an origin supported by unquestionable evidence: an authentic work by an old master. (we are the authentic work and God is the old master...just what i think.)

I am the person God created. I think he broke the mold with each of us...therefore there are NO cookie cutters! We are each individual and unlike any other. He created us in his image. I think my authentic me is sometimes at a cafe' in Paris. What is authentic about YOU?

Things are changing

We have homeschooled for the past year...which was great, but now my girl's are going to school. I was almost hesitant to even post this, but it's who we are. My oldest LOVES school! She loves waiting in line for the bathroom...everything about school...she adores! I, on the other hand, hated school. I hated everything about it. I would pretend to be sick so I wouldn't have to go. If my daughter is sick and can't go to school, she cries. I've felt guilty about homeschooling...i felt guilty about them going to school. Seriously, I'm just a guilty person. But, I feel very confident in the decisions we've made as a family that this is the best thing for them. And they are beyond excited. My youngest will be in 1st and my oldest in 4th. She just found out she's in the same class with her best friend. I guess it's normal for us to worry about our kids...whether they're in school or not, living with us or not...whatever it is. I know that God loves them more than I do. But they know that I love them "deeper than the deep blue sea, bigger than the big blue ocean!" They will start in exactly 1 week...so we will enjoy our last little bit of the summer. I look forward to what's to come!

Do you need a daily hug?

A friend of mine just launched a site called The Daily Hug! Doesn't it make you want to run right over and get one? I mean, seriously...who doesn't want that?

This makes me smile, because I know some of the things she has been through and I love that she is making such a positive impact on and around the world. She is one of the bravest, most courageous women I have known. And has the most incredibly positive attitude.
It's infectious!

You can register to have daily positive and encouraging messages or quotes texted to you. You know...if you're in the middle of making dinner and the kids are screaming and your husband is late from work...how encouraging would it be to receive just a little boost of encouragement at that time...just when you needed it most? Please go visit and get your daily dose of hugs! Be sure to check out the blog.
