Are you a Taker Downer or a Keeper Upper? {Repost}
Edit: My tree came down yesterday and everything Christmas is, nearly, put away. I'm ready for a new year.

Who Says?

Who says you can't re-do your kitchen days before your family comes for Christmas? Not me. This is how it looked before. I used that gorgeous Taupe/Robin fabric to make these fake roman shades. Then I moved the dining room set into the kitchen. I'm turning the dining room into an office/library...because in a year and a half of living there, we.have.never. eaten in there. This set is a little more traditional, but I love the way it looks. The paint color you ask? Don't. I have no idea. I mixed light khaki with some dark gray and added some chocolate color and came out with this.

I had left over board and batten from my Master bedroom re-do and slapped it up. The wall you see is the largest wall in the whole entire kitchen...so it didn't take much. I somehow think I'm going to slipcover 2 club chairs before Thursday, but I think I'd rather make cookies with my girlies. Maybe the slipcover fairy will come? What did you re-do last minute?

Friday's Featured Slipcovers

I finished my white sofa slipcover just in time for the craft party last weekend. Nothing more gets you going...than when you're about to have a slew of people over.

Cheap and Easy Christmas Decorations

This is the easiest way to add Christmas decor...au naturel! I found the urn at a thrift store and slapped a coat of paint on it, rummaged through my yard for some branches and then added 2 packs of small white ornaments from Dollar Tree. I love using what I have...especially if its free from my yard...like here. Also, check out the Easy Peasy Christmas Card Holder. How are you decorating on the cheap and easy side?
Let's have a little impromptu linky party. Link up a Christmas craft or Christmas decor project you'd like to share. Just make sure it goes to your specific post.

How to throw a craft party
Invite friends and have them bring hot glue guns...because you only own four.
Attempt only one or two crafts at the most. We did a rosette and a flower pin.
