Spicy Pillow Slipcovers

Inject a little energy in your space with some spicy new pillow slipcovers! It only takes a few minutes and the result will revive your space! I found the turquoise fabric at Walmart...5 yds for $5. I found the gray floral at a local fabric store. It's called Catalina by Laura Berringer for Marcus Fabrics.



I have some gray and white striped fabric and was thinking of doing this chevron tutorial...but I'm lazy...so probably not. I'll just buy a yard of chevron fabric.

And YES, I let Ally lay on my new pillow slipcovers because she's loyal and will sit with me through four seasons of 'Friday Night Lights'...back to back...with no complaining.

Random Stuff and Spring Fever!

I have Spring Fever! It was 80 degrees here on Sunday...so I threw on my shorts and frolicked in the sun a bit! Today it's 47. I can't seem to resist the the urgent need of jumping in my car and heading south to some sand and warm water. It's almost unbearable!

I'm in a spring cleaning and re-arranging...sprucing up kinda mood. I just pulled out some funky spring fabrics to make pillow slipcovers.

I'm working on refinishing a dresser. It's gonna be turquoise! I still need to finish a slipcover. I'm trying to keep myself busy until our Spring Break arrives in April! I've been to Goodwill several times to dump off stuff...wondering how in the world it accumulates so quickly. And I'm praying for Japan. What random stuff are you doing?

Gallery Wall

My friend "T" was inspired by Nester's gallery wall feature and decided to do her own. She shopped her house and used what she had. The only thing she bought was the black/white canvas of her kids. I think it's fab.u.lous! And I'm getting ready to copy her. We have the same exact floor plan. And I have the same exact paint color on my wall...Shoreline Tan from The Seaside Retreat Collection at Lowes. I copied her on that too. And I'm going to copy her and rip the carpet off my stairs...because I'm a copier like that.

I made this frame for her son one year for his birthday! She also framed kid art/love note! Adorable! Can't wait to try my own gallery wall! I'm off to shop the house right now!
